About the Role:
As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the credit control function, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices and maintaining healthy cash flow. Your role will involve working closely with the finance team and clients to resolve credit and payment issues.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage and maintain an assigned portfolio of accounts, ensuring timely and effective collection of outstanding debts.
- Monitor and analyse aged debt reports, taking appropriate action to reduce overdue accounts.
- Liaise with clients to resolve any disputes or issues affecting payment.
- Process and reconcile payments, ensuring accurate allocation of funds.
- Prepare and maintain accurate credit control records and reports.
- Work closely with the finance team to identify and implement improvements to the credit control process.
- Assist with credit assessments and setting credit limits for new and existing clients.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a credit control role, with a strong understanding of credit control processes and best practices.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple accounts effectively.
- Proficiency in credit control software and Microsoft Office.
- A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
