About the role
As a Production Team Leader, you will play a key role in managing a team of 30+ operatives, ensuring production targets are met, quality standards are upheld, and health and safety regulations are followed. You'll oversee production processes, champion system improvements, and contribute to the company's ongoing success.
What you will be doing
- Team Leadership – Leading, motivating, and managing a team of 30+ operatives to achieve production goals.
- Production Planning – Ensuring smooth production workflows by managing schedules, monitoring KPIs, and collaborating with internal teams.
- Health & Safety Compliance – Conducting risk assessments, leading accident investigations, and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Quality Assurance – Driving high-quality standards and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Systems & Processes – Championing the implementation of ERP (Production Data) and TMS (Time & Attendance) systems to ensure accurate data management.
- Efficiency & Cost Control – Identifying and resolving inefficiencies, optimising processes, and managing resources to reduce costs and improve productivity.
- 5S & SMED Implementation – Promoting workplace organisation initiatives to enhance efficiency and operational excellence.
What we are looking for
- Experience leading large teams – Proven track record of managing teams of 30+ operatives in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Technical proficiency – Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and strong competency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams).
- Excellent leadership skills – Ability to inspire, support, and develop a high-performing team.
- Process improvement mindset – Experience in implementing lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement, or similar initiatives.
- Health & Safety awareness – Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations and compliance.
- ILM qualification (or equivalent) – Or substantial experience in a similar leadership role.

- Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 DOE
- Hours: 7:30am – 4:00pm Mon – Thurs | 7:30am – 3:00pm Fri (39-hour week, flexibility required)
